SESQUICENTENNIAL PLANNING COMMITTEES:
FINANCE / FUNDRAISING / MERCHANDISE / EVENT / OUTREACH / HISTORICAL
*Many projects will require collaboration/coordination between committees; for example: A Clayton History trivia night would coordinate between the Event/History/Fundraising committees.
FINANCE / FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE

Purpose: Raise the necessary funds to make Sesquicentennial activities & events possible and provide oversight of all financial transactions related to Sesquicentennial.
MERCHANDISE COMMITTEE
Committee Chair: Mike Hooson, mike@1000islands-clayton.com
Purpose: Develop high quality Sesquicentennial souvenir items, the sale of which will provide financial support to overall Sesquicentennial activities.
EVENT COMMITTEE
Committee Chairs: Alex Buduson, alex@1000islands-clayton.com / Tricia Bannister, tricia@1000islands-clayton.com
Purpose: Plan community events and activities that will promote the celebration of the Sesquicentennial both for community members and visitors.
OUTREACH COMMITTEE
Committee Chair: Margaret Hummel, hummelme@gmail.com
Purpose: Connect with local organizations and businesses to encourage their participation in Sesquicentennial celebration through the creation of their own activities (curriculum, programs, advertising, communications) or by joining Sesquicentennial planned activities and promote Sesquicentennial through communications, advertising, etc.
HISTORICAL COMMITTEE
Committee Chair: Tom LaClair, historian@townofclayton.com
Purpose: Promote Village of Clayton history throughout the Sesquicentennial year through communications (online and in print) and events.
